What is Alpe d'Huzes?

Alpe d'HuZes is a unique sporting event in which as much money as possible is raised for cancer research and to improve the quality of life of people with cancer.

Cancer control and attention for cancer patients are very much needed. Alpe d'HuZes was founded with the aim of converting the powerlessness caused by cancer into strength. Under the motto 'giving up is not an option' we accept no limitations in what we can and will achieve.

100% of donations to the Alpe d'HuZes/KWF fund are spent on scientific research into cancer and improving the quality of life of people with cancer.

On the first Thursday of June, 5,000 participants will climb the Alpe d'Huez, a mountain in the French Alps, cycling, running or walking. The road to the top has 21 bends and is 14.5 kilometers long. The height difference between start and finish is 1100 meters with an average gradient of 7.9%.
